From Rural Roots to Financial Stewardship
“I founded Wellspring Financial because I believe families in South Georgia deserve world-class advice from a neighbor they know.” - Tyler Day
My name is Tyler Day.
I didn’t grow up in a big city or anywhere near Wall Street. In fact, I grew up on a pig farm in rural Northeast Georgia.
That upbringing taught me early on that wealth isn’t just about numbers on a screen—it’s about hard work, the changing seasons, and stewarding what you’ve been given. It taught me that money is a tool to support your family, your faith, and your community.
Though I started my education rooted in the land, studying Geography at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), I realized my true calling was helping people navigate the complex landscape of their financial lives.
I returned to school in 2022 to complete my Certificate in Financial Planning and became a Certified Student Loan Professional (CSLP®) in 2025 to better serve the financial planning needs of South Georgian residents.
Why Alma?
Well, I fell in love with a Bacon County native! My wife, Sarah Kate Day, serves this community as an Optometrist at Family Vision Care. We are raising our son, Oscar, right here in Alma.
We love this town, we are involved at New City Church, and we are committed to seeing our neighbors thrive.
More Than Just Numbers.
Ultimately, I believe money is a tool, not a goal. It is a resource to support the things that actually matter: your faith, your family, and your community.
My approach is grounded in Christian financial planning principles. I view my role as helping you practice faithful stewardship. My goal is to handle the stress of the numbers so you can focus on living a life of generosity and purpose.
I want to help you move from "hoping for the best" to knowing exactly where you stand.
Financial Guidance Right Here in South Georgia.
Sometimes families in South Georgia feel they have to go to a big city or a national firm—where they might just be a name and an account number—just to get sophisticated financial guidance.
I started Wellspring Financial to change that.
I serve my clients as a Fee-Only Fiduciary in South Georgia. I operate under a fiduciary standard of care, which is widely regarded as a rigorous legal and ethical standard in the financial industry.
As an Independent Financial Advisor, I answer only to you—not to a big bank or insurance company. This independence gives you:
Total Transparency
You will know exactly what you are paying and exactly what services you are receiving.
Objective Advice
I do not sell insurance products or accept kickbacks. When I recommend a strategy, you can be confident it is because it helps you reach your goals.
When I’m Not in the Office...
If I’m not looking at spreadsheets, you can usually find me outdoors.
Family Time: Chasing Oscar around or spending time with Sarah Kate.
Sports: I’m a competitive spirit, whether that’s on the golf course or the pickleball court.
Fandom: Saturdays in the fall are reserved for UGA Football. I’m also a big Formula 1 fan (even if the cars are a bit faster than the tractors I grew up on).
Downtime: I love a good board game night with friends.
